Field Service Technician - Mid-Atlantic

Marine Travelift has been manufacturing mobile boat hoists since 1954 and our equipment is utilized across the globe with over 5,000 units in service to help marinas handle boats of all sizes. Marine Travelift is the parent company to Shuttlelift, an expansive line of industrial cranes used in a variety of lifting applications and industries. These rubber-tired gantry cranes are used across the globe and offer lifting solutions up to 1,000 metric tons and larger.

What are we looking for?

Marine Travelift Mid-Atlantic is excited to be adding a full-time field service technician to our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing services to domestic Marine Travelift & Shuttlelift customers and equipment. As a tech, you will work 40-60 hours/week and travel at least 75% of the time. Most travel will occur in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, & South Carolina.

As a Field Service Technician, you will…

  • Erect new equipment at customer sites and provide customer training on equipment usage and proper maintenance.
  • Conduct field inspections on equipment previously purchased and provide feedback to the customer.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports and parts list from inspections to the CustomerCare team.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks on machines currently in service at customer sites.
  • Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

We are looking for you to…

  • Have experience in maintaining industrial equipment with strong hydraulic and electrical aptitude (Parker IQAN a plus).
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues using proper analysis, evaluation, and diagnosis techniques.
  • Have experience in heavy lifting and rigging.
  • Be able to work at heights safely in excess of 50 feet.
  • Understand technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
  • Be able to travel domestically at least 75% of the time.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
