Marine Travelift manufactures customized boat handling systems including boat hoists, marine forklifts, and hydraulic transporters. Marine Travelift has been manufacturing mobile boat hoists since 1954 and our equipment is utilized across the globe with over 5,000 units in service to help marinas handle boats of all sizes. Marine Travelift is the parent company to Shuttlelift, an expansive line of industrial cranes used in a variety of lifting applications and industries. These rubber-tired gantry cranes are used across the globe and offer lifting solutions up to 1,000 metric tons and larger.

What are we looking for?

Marine Travelift Inc., in Sturgeon Bay, WI is excited to be adding a full-time Mechanical Drafter to our team. As our Drafter, you will create detailed technical drawings and plans for our machines using SolidWorks.

As our Mechanical Drafter, you will…

  • Utilize CAD software effectively to produce high-quality 2D drawings that detail components, dimensions, and assembly of our various products.
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand design specifications as well as revise drawings based on feedback and changes.
  • Facilitate effective communication to ensure all teams are aligned on productions schedules, specifications, and requirements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for any quality issue that may arise.
  • All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.

We are looking for you to…

  • Have an Associate’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field
  • Be mechanically inclined and be able to intuitively see how things work.
  • Have a basic understanding of Hydraulic & Electrical schematics & components
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication with a strong understanding of complex technical concepts.
