Foreman

Job Description

Marine Travelift, Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, WI is looking to add a 2nd shift Foreman to our team. As part of the leading boat handling equipment manufacturer, the Foreman is responsible for managing day to day aspects of the production workforce team. The ideal candidate will have experience in large machine assembly.

2nd shift – Monday-Thursday; 1:30PM-12:00AM (3-day weekend)

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise various areas of the production floor at Marine Travelift (Mechanical Assembly, Industrial Paint, Low Voltage Electrician, etc.) to ensure achievement of daily productivity and output
  • Keep operations running smoothly throughout the shift
  • Ensure that quality standards are being met at all times
  • Ensure that all employees are working safely and following OSHA regulations
  • Document and manage any injuries and/or incidents
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Complete administrative reports as required
  • Handle individual personnel issues as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Able to supervise/manage a team of employees
  • Able to take charge and handle issues that may arise regarding production or output
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • 2-4 years of directly related manufacturing experience
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of all programs used in the shop
  • Knowledge and experience in custom steel fabrication required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
